Privacy Policy

The website and the information collected through it are managed by Dr. Mark Silverman, MD, who runs a private medical practice at 16 Khayil St., Unit 4, Zichron Yaakov 3092543, Israel ("the clinic", "we"). Contact details for any privacy question appear at the end of this page.

We collect personal information only when you choose to send it, plus the minimal technical data any website needs:

• Contact form — your name, phone number, email address, how you'd like us to reply (phone call or WhatsApp), the reason for your request, and your message. Because the reason and the message may reveal something about your health, the law treats them as information of special sensitivity. Please keep the message short and save the medical details for your visit.
• Online payments — payments are made on the secure pages of Upay, a licensed Israeli payment provider. Your card details are entered there and never reach this website or the clinic. We receive only the confirmation of payment (such as the name, amount, and date) needed for receipts and bookkeeping.
• Phone, WhatsApp, and email — if you contact us directly, we receive what you send through that channel. WhatsApp messages are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
• Technical data — like every website, the hosting provider processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count visits, anonymous button clicks (such as Call, WhatsApp, or Book), and page speed in aggregate, without cookies and without identifying or tracking individual visitors across sites.
• Map on the contact page — the contact page shows an embedded Google map. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may use its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. If you prefer, use the "Get directions" link instead.

This website itself sets no cookies, and it uses no advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking pixels. The only third-party cookies that may appear are Google's, from the embedded map described above.

You are under no legal obligation to give us any information. The form needs your name, phone number, and email so we can get back to you — but you are always welcome to call or send a WhatsApp message instead.

Information you send us is used only to respond to your request, schedule and arrange visits, process payments you have requested, issue receipts, keep reasonable records of our correspondence, and protect the website against abuse. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone for marketing, and no automated decisions are made about you.

This policy covers the website only. Information you share during a medical visit forms part of your medical record, which the clinic keeps confidential and handles in accordance with the Patient's Rights Law, 5756-1996, and the regulations on medical records.

Your messages are read only by the clinic. To run the site, a small number of service providers process information on the clinic's behalf, each only for its own task:

• Upay (Israel) — processes online card payments, under its own privacy policy and PCI DSS security standard.
• Resend (United States) — delivers contact-form messages to the clinic's email inbox.
• Google (United States) — provides the clinic's email inbox (Gmail), where form messages and emails are stored, and the embedded map.
• Vercel (United States, with servers worldwide) — hosts the website and processes the server logs and aggregate analytics described above.

We disclose information to anyone else only if the law requires it — for example, under a court order.

Some of these providers store information outside Israel, mainly in the United States. Information is transferred to them only for the purposes above, to providers that commit to protect it, in accordance with the Protection of Privacy (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations, 5761-2001. When you send the contact form you are asked to agree to this explicitly.

Contact-form messages reach the clinic as ordinary email and are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and to keep reasonable records of it, and are then deleted — unless the law requires us to keep them longer (for example, payment records for tax purposes, or information that has become part of a medical record). Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period only.

The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, stores no form submissions in a database of its own, never sees card details, and is protected by strict browser security settings. Access to the clinic's inbox is limited to the clinic. No system is perfectly secure, and ordinary email is not designed for detailed medical information — which is another reason to keep form messages brief.

Under the Protection of Privacy Law you may ask at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted if it is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear, or out of date. You may also withdraw your consent to future use of your information. Some records — for example, medical and payment records — must be kept by law and cannot be deleted on request. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we will respond within the time the law allows (generally 30 days). If you believe your privacy has not been respected, you may also complain to the Privacy Protection Authority at the Ministry of Justice.

The website is intended for adults. A request about a minor should be made by a parent or legal guardian.

If the way the site handles information changes — for example, a new service provider — we will update this page and the date at the top.
